Faithfulness

Faithfulness Part 5: Overview Diary notes in a time of difficulty

Proving Himself strong on our behalf

He is our true friend, full of grace, mercy and righteousness.  He is for us.  He loves us.  He gives only good things to us:  -Blessings all mine and ten thousand besides.  -My path, -My provision,  -My success.  Trust and walk and be about My Father's business. There will be: -Testing on hardship, -Testing on Trust, -Testing on Him: Proving Himself faithful.

Psalm 69-71  God shows us distressing and turmoiled times.  Leads us along paths not so pleasant.  But, He is still with us, and will not allow the waters to consume us.  Trust and walk.  You trusted in the past; Why do you need to see everything now?  I cried out to the Lord in prayer.  I was Down, Tired, Frustrated.  It can be seen this way, or full of Blessing, Stretching and Growing.  I feel I have had my fill.  I am failing.  My will is failing.  I survive day to day only: by my prayers to the Lord and whatever uplifting He is doing.  Again there is a withholding of the emotional rewards of His Spirit.  This dry walking is difficult and hard.  There is even dry reading of the word and dry prayers, even dry (mostly not totally) in song.  Psalm 69 and 71, go read.  You who have shown me great and severe troubles, shall revive me again, and bring me up from the depths of the earth.  We shall continue on for now.  Wrestling with God: I made a previous mistake.   Though your going to loose, there is a possibility of winning.  Jacob wrestled with God all night and wouldn’t release Him until HE blessed him.  He lost a small muscle because of it (in his hip), but the Lord blessed and changed His name in the process from Jacob (supplanter) to  Israel (God strives).

Joshua 10:8, 10:25, 1:5-9  The One that is in me, is stronger than them all.  Pray!  It has a strength, and a way, that I do not understand (intercession).

 8And the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you."

"Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." And they drew near and put their feet on their necks. 25Then Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight."

5No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Be content for today; for this is the day that the Lord has made.  We will rejoice and be glad.

Psalm 118:24

24 This is the day the LORD has made;

We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Without God we cannot stand or be at rest where we are at (or the place we were given).  Wait upon the Lord and He will renew your strength.

Rest and Trust, Let the Lord handle your trials.

Isaiah 43:2

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,

Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Isaiah 41:10

10 Fear not, for I am with you;

Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you,

Yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Joshua 1:9

9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

Peter spoke of our abilities and how this is a weakness:  How someone completely weak in an area, MUST SOLELY RELY ON GOD,  AND THIS IS WHAT HE DESIRES:  -THAT FULL RELIANCE.  -To do the good works that He desires.  -To take you to places Higher than you could go on your own.  (Why doesn’t He just take us there and bless the paths?  So you know Who and How you got there.)

Relief didn’t come; until I prayed fully and honestly over: -my fears, -even over my thoughts of what would happen.  Then He gave me peace.

James: There is no shadow of turning with Thee.  He is consistent.
