Faithfulness

Faithfulness Part 8:  Knowing God, God knowing you, and your love relationship with one another.

The background on this writing of the Faithfulness series comes from years of activity.   Some notes started a couple of years ago.  Some notes taken from my journal of activities and prayer.  Some pages written in the midst of the turmoil and trial.  Some pages written while on the mountain, in His presence and in resting.  Some notes taken from encouragement from friends.  Messages in my daily reading (secular and non),  Messages, from TV sermons, Radio sermons, Sermons in the pews.  Some messages directly from the Lord in His still small voice.  Notes on reactions to my perceptions of what was going on around me.  Some correct, some completely incorrect.  Why is it that when we get more distance from scene of events that what the Lord intended to say and teach comes more into focus?

I know nothing but this.  Stay as close as possible to Him.  Listen for every whisper.  Cherish every whisper and communication.  For it is not so clear now, but this is how we get to know God and His love for us, and How God knows us and our love for Him.

And in that day you will say did we not prophesy in your name and cast out many demons in your name, but I will say depart from me,  for I do not know you,  where you are from.

Math 7:

21"Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

24"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26"But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

Luke 13:

24"Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ 26then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ 27But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ 28There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. 29They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. 30And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last."
